About the Singing Group

Would you like to sing with us?

The Norway-Japan Society Choir started its activities in September 2008, thanks to the kindness of Mr. and Mrs. Masatake Seo, then president of the Society, and recently (May 2024) welcomed Norwegian Ambassador to Japan Kristin Iglum as an honorary member. We meet twice a month at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints near the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Hiroo, Tokyo, to practice songs by Norwegian composer Eduard Grieg and other Norwegian composers, as well as Japanese songs by Japanese composers, and present the results at the association's New Year's party and other events. We also hold occasional lunch meetings to deepen mutual friendship among members. We welcome Norwegian students and other chorus lovers to join our club.
