About the Singing Group

The singing group was established in 2008 and started its activities in September, 2008.The Singing Group aims, through its singing activities, to promote  the goal set by Norway-Japan Society (NJS) of mutual understanding & friendship and cultural exchange between Norway and Japan.

We welcome those who like singing songs and wish to make friends with our society. In order to participate in the singing group, you are kindly requested to become a member of the NJS.

The singing group gather at the Arctic Hall of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Hiroo twice a month to sing beautiful songs by Edvard Grieg, a great Norwegian composer, and well known Japanese songs by Japanese composers. The group performs at the NJS New Year’s Party in mid January and at the NJS General Meeting in end of May every year.

Occasionally we have lunch or dinner gatherings as well. We look forward to you joining us!
